For answering services

Prove every client campaign follows its script.

CanaryTel places scored test calls into your inbound campaigns on Amtelco, Startel, or any other platform, and gives you evidence you can hand to your clients.

What operators are up against

The problems are structural. Spot-checks by your own supervisors do not scale to every campaign and every shift.

  • Script drift across hundreds of accounts

Every client campaign has its own script and escalation rules. Scripts change, agents turn over, and nobody re-checks the old accounts until a client complains.

  • Overnight shifts nobody audits

Supervisors listen to a few calls on day shift. The 2 AM path, where a missed page matters most, is the one least often checked.

  • Churn after one bad call

A client rarely leaves over an average month. It leaves over one call that went wrong, and you learn about it from the client.

  • Proving quality to clients

Internal QA scores are the operator grading its own work. Clients ask for proof, and a spreadsheet from your own team is not proof.

How Canary Calls works for an operator

Outside-in testing. No integration is needed to begin.

  • A test on-call number in the roster

For each test account, the on-call roster points to a CanaryTel-owned test number or inbox. We capture and time the dispatch ourselves. We never contact your clients’ real on-call staff.

  • Fictional callers, scripted paths

Scenarios cover the happy path and failure paths: emergency escalation, wrong number, caller hangs up mid-script, after-hours rollover, on-call not answering, overflow.

  • Test calls that stay out of your numbers

We agree dedicated caller IDs and a call-record tag during onboarding, so test calls can be excluded from agent statistics and from client billing.

  • Scored with evidence

Each call is recorded, transcribed, and scored against the client script step by step. You receive pass or fail per scenario, a script-adherence score, audio, transcript, and timestamps.

Canary Watch, in early access

Canary Watch scores real calls from the data you share, for the same campaigns.

  • Amtelco and Startel: via scheduled export or API, pilot-dependent. Cadence follows the data feed.
  • Calls are scored for handling time, required disclosures, and script adherence against a rubric we agree with you per campaign.
  • Escalation correctness is scored where dispatch logs are available. Sampling and human review of failures are included.
  • Read-only access, scoped in advance, under a service agreement and a BAA where patient health information is involved.

Audit reports as a retention tool

The same report that tells you where to fix a campaign tells your client the line is being checked.

Share the scored report with the client whose campaign was tested. It shows which scenarios passed, which failed, and the audio and timestamps behind each result. Because CanaryTel is independent of you and of the client, the report carries weight that an internal QA score does not. Account managers can bring it to renewal conversations, and contracts can name CanaryTel results as SLA evidence.

Questions operators ask

Do I need to install anything on Amtelco or Startel?

No. Canary Calls come from outside, as an ordinary inbound caller. You add a test account (or use an existing one) and point its on-call roster at the CanaryTel test destination.

We work alongside Amtelco and Startel platforms. CanaryTel is independent of both and is not affiliated with or endorsed by either.

Will test calls distort our agent statistics or client billing?

They should not. We agree dedicated caller IDs you can allowlist and a call-record tag, so you can exclude test calls from agent metrics and from billing. Agents are not told which call is a test, because that would defeat the point.

What does Canary Watch need from us?

Canary Watch scores real calls from data you share. For Amtelco and Startel that means a scheduled export or an API feed of call and message records, and it is pilot-dependent. It runs at the cadence of that feed, not in real time. It is in early access, and we scope it with you before anything is connected.

Because real calls can contain protected health information, any plan that handles patient health information includes a BAA.

Can I show the audit report to my clients?

Yes, with your consent as the party that commissioned the test. Reports trace to call IDs, timestamps, audio, and transcript excerpts, so your client can check the evidence rather than take your word. Per-party views that share only what each party is entitled to are available on request.

What if we disagree with a finding?

Results are never edited at anyone’s request. A disputed finding gets a documented re-test, and both results stay on the record. See our independence policy.
